Antrim’s Associate Member Policy & Responsibilities

As a community theater, Antrim depends on volunteers to enable us to produce the highest quality shows possible. We see it as an opportunity for people to practice a skill they have a passion for and to become part of a welcoming and caring “family” of actors and technicians. To clarify the needs of our theater and to reward those who volunteer we have created an Associate Member program. All persons cast as actors in a show are required to pay a $20.00 fee to become an Associate Member of Antrim. Associate Membership is good for one rolling year. For example, if you are cast in the third show of a season your Associate Membership is in force until the third show of the next season. As an Associate Member you are granted free admission to one performance of any show on our schedule during your term.

The following are the responsibilities of Associate Membership:

1.Associates must volunteer at least 2 hours for a “work day” activity. This would include activities such as
hospitality, painting a set, painting the stage floor, assist in building a set, assisting the prop master or
costumer, participating in a “Clean Up Day”, etc.
2.Associates must perform at least one major non-acting function for a production. This includes Directing,
Producing, Hair/Make-Up, Costumes, Lighting or Sound Design/Operation, Set Decoration, Prop Master,
Stage Manager, Production Assistant, etc. This non-acting duty would be for the entire run of a show.

If an Associate Member does not perform the duties listed above during their one year term THEY WILL NOT BE CAST IN ANOTHER SHOW UNTIL THAT RESPONSIBILITY IS FULFILLED.

We welcome all volunteers. It is not necessary to be part of a show in order to become an Associate Member. We also provide training and “job mirroring” opportunities for interested parties.  Simply contact our Recording Secretary, Maureen Lambrix, at maureenlambrix@gmail.com for details.
